Columbus Park West Nursery School offers a uniquely cozy community in which young children play and grow together.

At CPWN each family chooses a job that supports the functioning of the school. This creates a school community that provides the children with the sense of warmth and safety of an extended family and brings parents the support of other parents with shared values.

Columbus Park West has been at the same Upper West Side location for more than 40 years. Originally founded as parent-cooperative playgroup, CPW quickly grew into an established nursery school and was incorporated in January 1968.

The school is fully licensed by New York City's Bureau of Day Care and is a member of the Parents League and of the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY).
